Asia Care VITAL
The geopraphical areas of coverage for all Asia Care international health insurance plans are divided into 2 zones. The health insurance benefits for the Asia Care VITAL plan will only apply within the chosen zone.
Outside of the zone selected by the member, the insured member will only be covered for services and supplies required as a result of an emergency, such as food poisoning or serious flu, for 60 days per trip.
How to choose your zone?
An insured member who resides in zone 1 for at least 180 days per year can choose to extend their coverage to zone 2 by selecting zone 2.
On the other hand, an insured member who resides in zone 2 for at least 180 days a year will need to choose zone 2.
2 factors should be considered when choosing the zone:
- your country of residence
- countries where routine medical treatments will be needed
Zone 1 :
Thailand - Vietnam - Burma/Myanmar - Indonesia - Cambodia - Laos - Philippines - Malaysia - India - Nepal - Maldives - Bangladesh - Brunei - Bhutan - Pakistan - Sri Lanka - East Timor
For stays less than 90 days: Belgium - France - Germany - Luxembourg - Netherlands
Zone 2 :
Worldwide excluding USA
The rest of the world :
Outside your zone, you will be covered for services and supplies required as a result of an accident or medical emergency, such as food poisoning or serious flu, for 60 days per trip.
